  • What is the time difference of Maldives?
    Maldives is five hours ahead of Greenwich Mean Time (GMT).
  • Do I need Visa to visit the Maldives?
    A visa prior to arrival in the Maldives is not required. All tourists from all the countries in are granted free 30 day visa... upon arrival. However, all the visitors need a valid travel document. If a passport expiry date falls within 30 days of arrival, tourists can not extend their stay beyond the passport expiry date.
  • What is the currency used in the Maldives?
    The national currency... is Maldivian Rufiyaa (MRf) and 1 Rufiyaa is divided in 100 Laaris. One United States Dollar is equivalent about to 15 MRf and this value doesn't vary much.

    Payments in the Maldives can be made through cash (MRf or USD) or by credit cards (America Express, Visa, Master Card, Diners Club). Many resorts and hotels accept payments in most hard cash currencies and credit cards. Most of the local and souvenir shops... in Male accept all major credit cards but none of these shops can get you cash from your card. Maldives art & craft...

    Yes, Maldives is probably one of the safest places in the world with a low crime rate.
  • What vaccinations should I have?
    No vaccinations are required by the Maldives health authorities...
  • Are there hospitals and medical facilities in the Maldives?
    In Male' the Indhira Gandhi Memorial Hospital and the ADK Hospital... follow high medical standards. Local islands have small clinics for basic medical care and some resorts have in-house doctor. Decompression chambers are also available in case of a diving emergency.
  • Is the water safe to drink?
    The water in the Maldives is drinkable but we recommend drink only bottled water.
  • Are there resorts offering baby-sitting facilities in the Maldives?
    Most of the resorts... and some guest houses... cater to family holidaymakers and offer a baby-sitting service. 
  • Will I be able to use my electrical equipment in Maldives?
    Voltage in Maldives is 110 & 220 volts, bring with you a plug adapter is recommended for using your personal appliances. Most resorts... major hotels... and some of liveaboards... provide hair dryers and other amenities.

    Yes, we can. However, we advise you to contact your nearest airline ticketing agent and request a special fare to the Maldives. Contact your local ticketing offices or visit the airlines websites, for example, Emirates, Sri Lankan Airlines, Qatar Airways, Singapore Airlines, Malaysian Airlines Korean airlines or other carriers serving the Maldives for flight and ticket information.
  • How do I pay for my holiday in the Maldives?
    With the confirmation of your reservation, we will send you a full quotation for your holiday along with payment instructions. Usually a non-refundable 30% of the total amount must be paid within 5 working days after receiving the invoice to avoid automatic cancellation. The remaining balance must be paid 45 days before your arrival, if your arrival is less than 45 days from the confirmation of your booking the total invoice amount is due within 5 working days.
